A2B have launched a web based screening tool to help older people in N. Ireland find out what benefits they are entitled to based upon their circumstances, establish the value of their entitlement and ultimately help them obtain these benefits by sign posting them where to go next for advice or to apply for the benefit.
A2B plan to make available reporting and analysis tools available to our stakeholders including advisers, partner organisations, relevant government departments, A2B staff / management and education institutions. It is envisioned that the anonymised information collected by A2Bs benefit screening tool will provide useful insights into benefit uptake across Northern Ireland will help improve the effectiveness of future benefit uptake campaigns. Organisations working on the problem will be able to measure the scale of the problem, their effectiveness in attempting to solve it and conduct research aimed at influencing government policy and strategy at a N. Ireland level and beyond.
