RFP for AmeriCorps Ambassadors of Mentoring
To continue our commitment to expanding high-quality youth mentoring, on Jan. 5, MMP released the Request for Proposals for the AmeriCorps Ambassadors of Mentoring Program for the 2009-2010 program year.
Ambassadors are stipended AmeriCorps volunteers that serve with mentoring programs full-time for one full year (August through July).
As host of an AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring, your program will benefit from a dedicated member who will receive intensive professional development trainings to specifically benefit mentoring programs. Members receive training, based on the Elements of Effective Practice, in areas such as program development, mentor/mentee training, match support, and marketing and mentor recruitment, along with ongoing technical support like no other AmeriCorps Program in the state. Its like having an MMP staff member at your program!
