RFP - Venue for Chicago Meeting Space
As part of the marketing and promotional activities for the food industry, the organization has planned to do a Buyers Mission in conjunction in Chicago. As part of this event, the organization will be bringing up to 24 international buyers to Chicago to meet one-on-one with up to 50 suppliers of American-made food and beverages in the Chicago area on July 28th and 29th, 2011.
Attendees include: International importers and U.S. food suppliers.
Meeting Qualifications
Experience in providing space for meetings and/or conferences
Room to hold up to fifty 6' rectangle tables with four chairs each
Ability to allow companies to sample food during meeting
Ability to allow some companies to use simple appliances to prep their food, including microwaves, slow cookers, heat lamps, hot plates, etc.
Full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
Location in downtown Chicago
Tasks to undertake for the seminar
Assist with receiving and storing products from participating suppliers, including some products that may require refrigeration or freezer storage, for up to two days.
-Prepare enough food for morning breaks and lunches of up to 45 of the attendants at the event.

Food Export - Midwest is not liable for any costs
associated with any company's response to this RFP. Food Export - Midwest
reserves the right to not award this contract if, in the opinion of the
evaluators, no suitable proposal is received. The selected contractor must agree to abide by the provisions contained in Section 202 of Executive Order 11246 (30 Federal Register 12319) with regard to employment and contracting practices.
In addition, Food Export - Midwest requires that its contractors may not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, national origin or ancestry, race, color, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status,
political affiliation, military status or membership in the military reserve.
The deadline for proposals is 12:00 noon CST on Friday, June 3rd, 2011.

Background
The Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export-Midwest) is a not-for-profit export association, whose primary function is to develop export markets for Midwestern producers and processors of value-added food and agricultural products.
