RFP FOR LAWA MASS NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
The City of Los Angeles, Department of Airports (Los Angeles World Airports or LAWA), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a robust, interactive, high speed notification system to be used throughout multiple Los Angeles airports for crisis and operational communications.The most commonly anticipated natural disaster in the Southern California area is an earthquake; however, the Civil Defense and Disaster Plan provides that the Mayor may make a declaration of any widespread emergency or disaster.It is LAWAs goal to increase safety, security, service and efficiency through faster and broader communications. A mass notification system will free key personnel from placing and receiving time consuming calls and emails, allowing them to focus on the incident at hand.
