RFP/RFQ for Non Profit Four Year Strategic Technology Planning
Newman Tullis, LTD. (Newman Tullis) is REQUESTING PROPOSALS AND QUOTATIONS from qualified technology firms interested in contracting for one of its clients, a small nonprofit organization in New York City.
Successful applicants will contract solely with the nonprofit organization. Newman Tullis provides other consulting services to this organization; however, technology planning is not an area of expertise for Newman Tullis and, in kind, is placing this solicitation on its behalf.
Background
Newman Tullis' client is a small, nonprofit organization based out of Manhattan. The organization has an annual operating budget under $500,000 and it employees seven full-time staff and five part-time staff. The organization provides assistance to families affected by a particular disability. Presently, its data management systems are in Excel files or MS Access (presently, there are over 10,000 constituents in its database).
The executive director and board of this organization are seeking a strategic technology plan that they can use to guide the organization over the next four years. The organization would like to use this plan as a blueprint for each of its four organizational initiatives; additionally, it would like to use the document with funders.
Over the next four years, the organization plans to evolve rapidly, moving from an organization that has largely stayed "in the office" to one that's "on the streets" with families and children. Therefore, this technology plan must be forward thinking. One idea includes the use of iPads in the hands of volunteers, recruiting in community centers and entering data into a database housed in Salesforce.
This four year strategic technology plan must include the following:
