RFI for JETCAL ANALYZER
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the data necessary to repair the circuit card assembly, power supply and electronic components. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined.
The circuit cards are currently repaired by Howell Instruments under contract FA8517-14-D-0008 and FA8517-14-D-0003. The Repair Method Suffix Code (RMSC) for these items is R3. This service has been performed by Howell Instruments for a number of years, which is the actual manufacturer of the circuit cards. They are the sole contractor for the circuit card assemblies. The technical data required to organically repair or compete the repair is not owned by the Government and is uneconomical to acquire the data by purchase or reverse engineering. No samples are available for potential suppliers to evaluate.
