RFI - Learning Management System Migration
North Carolina State University's Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (hereafter
referred to as DELTA or University) currently supports two Learning Management Systems (LMS's),
Blackboard Vista (commercial product) and WolfWare (locally developed application). In the fall of
2007, DELTA convened two faculty forums to discuss the current state of our LMS environment. At
these forums and other meetings, we received positive feedback from our campus partners and clients in
moving forward with a pilot of Moodle, as an initial step in exploring a long-term open source strategy
for the campus.
