The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is requesting information and conducting market research to support a potential procurement for Translation Support Services for TSA's Global Strategies Office (GS).
The TSA is seeking document translation (classified and non-classified) from all world languages that are official country languages into accurate, idiomatic English and translation from English into accurate, idiomatic world languages stipulated as official country languages. The translations should be in the same style and format as the original document. The language materials may include, but are not limited to, hardcopy, electronic, image files, and video files. In addition to translation services, GS will also occasionally need face to face translations services by translators both domestically and abroad. On average, GS require translators two or three times a year.

The TSA is requesting responses from vendors who are capable of fulfilling TSA's requirements as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Interested parties are requested to respond with capability statements with the following information listed below.
1. Vendor Name, address, and phone number
2. Business Size (Small or Large) and Economic Status
3. DUNS Number
4. Federal Supply Schedule Number (i.e. GSA), if available
5. Confirmation of the ability to provide the requirements stated in the SOW.
6. List of world languages which company provides translation services

All Capability Statements must be sent to Contract Specialist, Toshia Rollins at Toshia.N.Rollins@tsa.dhs.gov . Please insert the following in the subject line of your response, "70T01019I9NOGS123 - RFI Response". No phone calls will be accepted.


In the body of the email, include a vendor Point of Contact (POC), phone number and email address of the person to be contacted regarding any correspondence between the Government and the Vendor. This person should be a primary contact and capable of addressing questions or issues associated with the submission and content of the Capability Statement.


Any interested parties who are currently capable of performing these vital functions are requested to respond by 12:00 PM EST, December 14, 2018.

It is important to note responses to this RFI are solely for the purpose of market research. Neither do they constitute pre-competition nor will they be evaluated in any way. Likewise, this RFI does not represent an official Acquisition Plan, nor does it commit the U.S. Government to any course of action in the future. This RFI is issued solely for market research, planning, and information purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contractual agreement. The Government does not intend to award a contract based solely on responses to this RFI, nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. Each respondent, by submitting a response, agrees that any cost incurred by it in responding to this request or in support of activities associated with this RFI shall be the sole responsibility of respondent. The Government shall incur no obligations or liabilities whatsoever, to anyone, for any costs or expense incurred by the respondent in responding to this RFI.
