REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON SOLAR PANELS
The Association is seeking information on the
format and commodities to include in a potential Request for
Proposal (RFP) that will result in multi-state, cooperative multiple
award contracts for “solar panels”. The potential RFP would
include multiple “bands” or categories of products/services.
Eight states are currently active in helping to put the proposed
solicitation on the street (from Maine to South Carolina to Nevada)
under the leadership of Vermont. There is potential participation
by 50 states, the District of Columbia, and all local governmental
entities authorized by individual state laws to use a state’s
contracts. Since this is a new solicitation, it is difficult to project
actual participation, but NASPO has cooperative contracts that are
used by 46 states, with sales over $2 billion annually.
