This is a Request for Information (RFI). 

The USDA-ARS intends to purchase this item(s) if and when funding becomes available.  This request is submitted for the USDA-ARS to build a requirement and find potential vendors for product(s) to enhance research capabilities.

Specifications below are based on the National Dough Mixers being used.  The USDA-ARS requests proposed products that meet and/or exceed the current specifications for the listed item.  The USDA-ARS is looking to upgrade aging equipment with state of the art products. 

The USDA-ARS is currently using National Dough Mixers:

 

Important functions for suggestions:

 





















100gram mixer:

-able to mix 100g of flour into dough @ typical wheat flour absorption levels

-Planetary mixing action using 4 moving top pins and two stationary bottom pins

-would like to be able to accommodate existing National mixing bowls if possible

40gram mixer

-able to mix 40g of flour into dough @ typical wheat flour absorption levels of 45% to 75% water

-Planetary mixing action using 4 moving top pins and two stationary bottom pins

-would like to be able to accommodate existing National mixing bowls if possible
