REPAIR AND EQUIPMENT FOR A NV1002 ION IMPLANTER
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for placement of a five-year Blanket Purchase Order Agreement (BPA) to provide preventative maintenance services, technical support, and equipment for a NV1002 ion implanter for the Detector Development Laboratory. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the item from Axcelis Technologies Inc. It is our understanding that Axcelis Technologies Inc is the only vendor that can supply the equipment and provide maintenance since they are the original manufacture. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Odessia Becks via e-mail at [email protected], not later than 4:30 p.m. east local time on August 1, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
