REGIONAL TRANSIT STUDY
The County Transportation Commission (VCTC) is seeking professional services to assist the County in developing a transit vision and exploring the institutional structure of the public transit systems and funding in the County needed to implement the vision. This study will include both the Ventura Intercity Service Transit Authority (VISTA) transit services operated by VCTC and transit services operated by the Cities and the County, either directly, or through a joint powers agreement or cooperative agreement. Metrolink is also to be included as a transit operator in this study. VCTC has identified four key reasons to examine improved ways of delivering transit services in the county.
