This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the University seeking proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to redesign the University’s general/public website. The University is seeking a restructure and redesign of its main site to give the site visitors a user-friendly
and positive experience.
The University current site has up-to-date content in an outdated interface. The main site is maintained
by a full-time webmaster, a part-time web developer, and a Web content manager. The site
consists of approximately 8,600 pages and receives an average of 10,000 hits daily. A few
department/program sites are located outside of the main site and are maintained by
departments/programs.
The university currently has a content management system (CMS). Our current CMS allows individual
departments to maintain sections of their website and confine users to a uniform webpage
template and style sheet. This CMS is out dated and does not support many new web features.
The University is conducting a separate RFP to select a new content management system.
