IN APPROXIMATELY 1 DAY, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS COMMERCIAL SSERVICE PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT.
SCOPE OF WORK
The intent of this contract is to secure services for whitebark pine seedling planting in the Rainbow Creek Watershed of the Sawtooth NRA. The project involves planting of whitebark pine seedlings provided by the Sawtooth National NRA.
LOCATION
The project area is located in the on the Sawtooth NRA in Blaine County, Idaho (See Map 1). A 4-wheel drive vehicle or ATV to travel to and from the worksite is recommended. One payment unit has been identified. The legal description is: Township 6 N., Range 15 E. Section 28. Slope in the planting unit is 30-40%.
Rainbow Creek Unit. Located approximately 28 miles north of Ketchum, Idaho off of Highway 75. There are three ways to access the planting area:
a) Via Highway 75 and Forest Road 70405 (Galena Summit). The planting area is located approximately 2-2.5 miles from the end of Forest Road 70405.
b) Via Highway 75 to the Horse Creek turnout approximately ¼ mile north of mile marker 154, then approximately 1 mile along sheep driveway route.
c) Via Highway 75 and Forest Road 70194 (Valley Road) for approximately 2.3 miles to Forest Road 70197 (Pole Creek Road) for approximately 1.1 miles to Forest Road 70414 for approximately 0.1 miles to the Trailhead (end of the Road). From the Trailhead take Forest Trail 261 (Rainbow Creek Trail) for approximately 1 mile to within approximately 1.2 miles of the planting unit (Map 2). Trail 261 is open to motorcycle, ATV, horse, or foot. Once off the trail foot or horse travel is required.
