The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 intends to issue solicitation number VA242-17-Q-0939 for Radiation Safety & Radiation Safety Officer Services for multiple locations within the Syracuse, NY geographic area. The following VA locations will be included in the resultant contract:

The scope of this procurement is for radiation safety services and coverage of absences for the VA radiation safety officer. Contractor shall be responsible for inspections, maintenance, calibration and repair of radiological equipment; as well as; providing coverage for the VA Radiation Safety Officer as required. Contractors personnel shall be either a Certified Health Physicist or Certified Medical Health Physicist.
The resultant contract will be a single award, firm fixed price (FFP), requirements contract for a base period of 1 year, plus 4 one year option periods. The solicitation will be issued at the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov) on/about September 29, 2017. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541690 Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services with a small Business Size Standard of $15.0 Million. Contract award will be based upon the best value to the government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR ) 12 & 13.
This procurement is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business firms. In order to be considered for award, prospective Offerors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.11 they shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in SAM prior to award of a contract. SAM is located at http://www.sam.gov and consolidated the capabilities of CCR/FedReg, ORCA, and EPLS. There is NO cost to use SAM. Proposals received from firms that are not a small business concern shall not be considered, and will not be eligible for award.
