R391 Propeller Assembly Overhaul/Repair and FSR Support
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. This is NOT a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources capable of providing an OEM certified Field Service Representative and overhaul/repair services of the R391 propeller assemblies and components utilized on USCG HC-27J and HC-130J aircraft IAW current OEM manuals or other OEM component maintenance manuals. Potential sources must be able to provide evidence of possession of an OEM license to ensure access to the most current OEM overhaul data and OEM replacement parts. The OEM is GE Aviation Systems LLC, DBA Dowty Propellers (93366).

The overhaul/repair components will include unscheduled repairs, service bulletin incorporation, and possible modifications for the propeller assemblies and components requiring a complete teardown, inspection, rework, assembly, and testing. The components are identified below:

All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information to this sources sought. All interested parties must respond to any subsequent solicitation notice published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov.
Responses should include the following:
• Name and address of contractor
• Cage Code
• Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address
• Capability statement to include the lead time for evaluation and repairs and standard warranty included with product
• State whether the business is OEM certified and if so, provide certificate of approval
• State whether the business is currently classified as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone Small Business, Women Owned, Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business
• GSA Contract information if applicable and other information that provides the Coast Guard with a more accurate picture of the potential marketplace for this requirement.
