The Alabama Council for Developmental Disabilities (ACDD) is announcing the availability of funding in the priority area of Quality Assurance in accordance with the Federal Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act). Such quality assurance systems will contribute to and protect self determination, independence, productivity, quality of life, integration and inclusion in all facets of community life. The intent of this quality assurance grant is for self advocates and family members to have access to information and education as they self identify their needs.
The Council is seeking a full service communications firm to partner in a public awareness initiative that promotes the capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Council believes that promoting the capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities, through a coordinated public awareness initiative, will result in more opportunities for integration and inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of community life.
