1.0   Description

1.1   The Naval Medical Research Unit is seeking information on a vendor that can provide Quad Lumen Bolt Kits, On-site training & shipping on a FIRM-FIXED rate for one base year plus one option period. 

 

1.2    Request For Information (RFI) Only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. The RFI respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: https://www.fbo.gov and the GSA E-Commerce Central website: http://www.gsa.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

 

2.0   Summary

The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. The Government has not made a commitment to procure any of the RFI requirements discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.

The requirement is to provide up to 60 sterile quad lumen bolt kits with shipping for each period. Additionally, in the base period an on-site training will be included to cover three shifts over two days.  The titanium bolts will provide four lumen port access through one burr hole with the following diameters; one lumen accommodates devices less than 0.078”, two lumens accommodate devices less than 0.064” without introducer and 0.053” with introducers, and the last lumen can accommodate devices less than 0.047”.  Bolts will be CT, Integra Licox, and Natus Camino ICP compatible and can be left in situ for up to 14 days. The kit should contain the quad lumen bolt, 5.3mm drill bit, sealing caps, hex wrench, depth collar, stylets, compression fittings, sensor introducers, scalpel, and pigtail extensions.  The period of performance for this agreement is anticipated to be a base period of 12 months, with one 12-month option period for a total of 24 months.
