The U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Secure Transportation, has a requirement for a Weather Service Subscription to be used by Transportation Emergency Control Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Auxiliary Transportation Emergency Control Center located in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. This requirement is in support of Office of Secure Transportation Federal Agent Program convoy operations whose mission is to ensure the secure transportation of nuclear material.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to identify companies having an interest in and have the resources to support a Weather Services Subscription. The Weather Services Subscription must include, but not limited to, the following salient characteristics: (1) Must provide delivery of weather information via satellite, internet and cell phone; (2) Must provide mapping, warnings and plume modeling; (3) Must include continuous and uninterrupted access to weather information; and (4) Must include 24/7 weather related consultation with an experienced meteorologist.

If your company has the experience and resources to meet this requirement, please provide the following information:

a. Organization name, address, email address, website address, telephone number, and size - type of ownership for the organization; include DUNS and CAGE Code;

b. Point-of-Contact Information to include name, title, telephone number, email address and business location; and

c. A brief statement of your company qualifications related to the specifications with appropriate documentation supporting claims of technical capability, to include the following: List of Standard Features, Technical Specifications, Technical Staff Supportability; and Business Size Standard (large or small). Any future requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition.

Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity.

The Government does not intend to release its findings from the submissions, but will use their input to derive an acquisition strategy for the identified requirement.
