Purchase of Comnet Ethernet Equipment for PW Traffic Division
The City Public Works Department staff is upgrading traffic signal controllers citywide. The City wishes to install ComNet CNGE8US Ethernet switches (or accepted equivalent) and the accessories to link the new traffic signal controllers with the Traffic Management System. Staff determines that using the single strand fiber Ethernet for communication to maximize the fiber optic network is in the City's best interest. The supplier shall supply the contracted equipment to the City within sixty (60) days after the contract is awarded in order that installation can occur in conjunction with the new traffic signal controller deployment. Lifetime manufacture warranty shall be provided against all defects, material or components under this bid.
