INVITATION AND NOTICE FOR BIDS 2009 SIX (6) YARD DUMP TRUCK You are herewith notified that it is the intent of the Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District to purchase the following: 1 - 2009 SIX (6) YARD DUMP TRUCK By requirement of Idaho Code Section 43-901: "All bids shall be presented or otherwise delivered under sealed cover to the secretary with a concise statement marked on the outside thereof generally identifying the expenditure to which said bid pertains. All bids shall contain one (1) of the following forms of bidder's security: a. Cash; b. Cashier's check made payable to the Irrigation District; c. A certified check made payable to the Irrigation District; d. A bidder's bond executed by a qualified surety company, made payable to the Irrigation District. "The security shall be an amount to at least five per cent (5%) of the amount bid. A bid shall not be considered unless one (1) of the forms of bidder's security is enclosed with it, and unless the bid is submitted in a form which substantially complies with the form provided by the Irrigation District. "Any bid received by the irrigation district may not be withdrawn after the time set in the notice for opening of bids. All bids received must be opened at the time and place set in the notice inviting bids, and no person shall be denied the right to be present at the opening of the bids. "If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract," within seven (7) days after receiving the Notice of Award, "the amount of his bidder's security shall be forfeited to the irrigation district... ... ..." All bids must be sealed in a separate envelope which is clearly marked " FOR ONE (1) NEW 2009 SIX (6) YARD DUMP TRUCK" and mailed or hand delivered to DAREN R. COON, SECRETARY OF THE BOARD, 1503 First Street South, Nampa, Idaho 83651 and be received before the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the 12th day of June 2009, prior to bid opening. Bid opening will be at the hour of 11:00 a.m. at the Regular Board Meeting of the District Board of Directors to be held 16 June 2009, at the office of the Board at 1503 First Street South, Nampa, Idaho. Any bids received which are not in compliance with the above quoted law of Idaho or with the requirements of this notice will be placed before the Board of Directors but shall be subject to such laws and requirements. Specifications, bid packet and forms upon which bids must be made can be obtained at the Irrigation District's office at 1503 First Street South, Nampa, Idaho or by calling the Irrigation District's office at: Nampa - 466-7861.
