Publishing Services
The purpose of this RFP is to select a vendor that can satisfy the States need for an outreach publication to be distributed to licensed nurses.
The Board is seeking a vendor to provide the following services to the State. The following services will be provided free of charge and no moneys shall be paid by the State for the services:
1.The Vendor will publish a quarterly magazine titled Nursing Focus beginning approximately three months after the execution of this contract and every three months thereafter.
2.The magazine will be approximately 24-32 pages, will be printed on 60 lb gloss text, the cover and interior will be 4 color processes. In addition, the magazine trim size will be 8 3/8 X 10 7/8 with saddle stitch binding.
3.The Vendor will publish 100,000 copies of the magazine per issue which shall be distributed to all Indiana licensed nurses. Additional copies shall be provided to the State for distribution, the distribution of additional copies shall be at the discretion and expense of the State.
4.The Vendor will provide graphic design and layout services, including all scans.
5.The Vendor shall be responsible for procurement of advertising, including contracting directly with third-party advertisers and collecting payment from the third-party advertisers. The Vendor will provide all ad design and production.
6.A proof will be provided to the State prior to publication. The Vendor will not print the Nursing Focus magazine until State has approved the final proof.
7.The Vendor has final editorial control of all content and layout of publication however; the State shall have final approval of all advertisers and retains the right to reject advertising content at any time prior to the time the publication is submitted to the State for final proof.
8.Vendor will ship magazines at 3rd class bulk rate using a mailing list provided by the State.
9.The Vendor will use the information provided by the State only for the purposes of distribution of the Nursing Focus magazine.
10.The Vendor is responsible for all federal, state, or municipal taxes of any description assessed against Vendor by reason of providing these services.
