Public Safety Facility Planning, Design & Engineering
The City Police and Fire Departments have exceeded the capacity of their existing facilities. The Fire department currently consists of 22 personnel and 6 vehicles. The police department is currently staffed with 40 personnel and 25 vehicles. The Tavares City Council has determined that it is in the City’s best interest to provide a combined facility for both departments at a downtown location. Funding for Phase one is currently available. Phases 2 and 3 will be executed as funding becomes available.
