Public Safety Communication Systems Improvements
County Unified Government wishes to replace their legacy 800 MHz trunked simulcast voice radio system with a digital, Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Project 25 (P-25) compliant communications system (the System). This capital construction project is to be funded through the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Program, SPLOST 2011, Project #05. Work required by this project will have to take place while keeping the existing Public Safety Communications System fully operational and will require work to be scheduled around use of the equipment, events, football games and other schedule and non-schedule large usages.
