The Ministry of Health's Public Health Directorate is seeking proposals from organisations in the Waikato interested in providing all age public health suicide prevention services that meet government priorities to reduce inequalities in health.
Proposals for services should be based on:
the principles of the draft New Zealand Suicide Prevention Strategy (evidence and strengths-based approaches, responsiveness to Mori, valuing diversity of communities, people and cultures, leadership and collective responsibility and long-term approaches, monitoring and evaluation)
the four pathways of He Korowai Oranga: Mori Health Strategy (whnau, hap, iwi and community development, Mori participation, effective service delivery and working across sectors).
