The City of Elk Grove is accepting proposals from GIS professional consultants for providing services that would meet the project requirements described within this Request for Proposal. The utilization of an interactive map based public web site is a new and innovative means of communication for local government entities. This is especially true in communities that are experiencing a changing landscape through rapid growth in the residential and commercial sectors. Parcel and street information, permitted land uses, political districts, publicly funded
construction projects, garbage service days, parks, crime, and available properties are the types of information that the public could view on an anytime basis.
