Provision of Multi-site Satellite Internet Service for UN
United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposals for the provision of
four independent dedicated satellite Internet connections each with 5 global IP addresses, to be used at
UNAMI HQ in Baghdad, UNAMI Camp in Baghdad, UNAMI Office at BIAP, Baghdad and UNAMI Office at
Erbil in northern Iraq. The service for the above shall include all necessary equipment required for
commissioning if needed, as well as onsite installation/ re-alignment of present equipment and future
support as follows:
1.1 UNAMI-Office, at Erbil in northern Iraq
- 3072/1024 Kb Asymmetrical dedicated BW with 5 IPs. UNAMI Existing equipment can be used
1.2 UNAMI-Camp, IZ Baghdad (Tamimi Compound)
- 3072/1024 Kb Asymmetrical Dedicated BW with 5 IPs. UNAMI Existing Equipment can be used.
1.3 UNAMI-HQ, IZ Baghdad (UNAMI Diwan Office)
- 3072/1024 Kb Asymmetrical Dedicated BW with 5 IPs The Vendor should provide all the necessary
equipment, cables and any other required material for the installation and activation of the service.
1.4 UNAMI-Office, BIAP, Baghdad
- 2048/512 Kb Asymmetrical Dedicated BW with 5 IPs The Vendor should provide all the necessary
equipment, cables and any other required material for the installation and activation of the service.
2.0 UNAMI intends to award the contract if any, for one year with an estimated commencement of
service on 1 June 2010 until 31 May 20, with an option of extension for an additional one year at the
discretion of UNAMI.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
3.0 Please note on the following:
a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a proposal.
b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and
proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not
automatically warrant for RFP document.
c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the above deadline.
