SYNOPSIS:
The Birmingham VA Medical Center located at 700 S. 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233, has a requirement to REPLACE WINDOWS PHASE II, VA PROJECT NO 521-10-104. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract award is anticipated. A System for Award Management (SAM) and Center for Verification Excellence (CVE) / Vendor Information Pages (VIP) certified / registered Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor shall provide all equipment, expertise, incidentals, labor, materials, parts, services, supervision, and tools necessary as required by the solicitation announcement and statement of work in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations / standards.

The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00 USD. The Period of Performance for this project will be sixty (90) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Veterans First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The NAICS code for this project is 238190-Other Foundation, Structure, and Building Exterior Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15 Million.

Interested bidders must be listed in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, and currently registered in the System for Award Management, www.sam.gov.

Solicitation documents will be available electronically on or about Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov or www.fbo.gov. Interested bidders / offerors should search for solicitation VA247-17-B-0725 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. A 120-day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid Guarantee / Bond will be required. Electronic and hard copies of bids will be accepted. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held; date, time, and location to be provided with the solicitation.

The Government reserves the right to cancel this Solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
