Prostate Cancer Foundation Announces Request for Applications for Young Investigator Awards
The Prostate Cancer Foundation has announced a new round of funding for prostate cancer researchers through its Young Investigators awards.
Consistent with the foundation's goal to end death and suffering from prostate cancer, the Young Investigators program seeks to help develop another gifted cohort of "human capital" in prostate cancer research. The PCF will fund one hundred Young Investigators ("The PCF 100") over the period 2008-12o fifty-three Young Investigators have already been selected.
The program provides three-year awards of $75,000 per year. Funds may be used to advance the career and research efforts of the awardee, supporting, for example, "protected time" or direct costs for experiments.
