Proposals for new solar electric energy resources.
On March 30, 2006, Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), an operating company subsidiary of Xcel Energy, Inc. issued a Request for Proposals for new solar electric energy resources.
Through this solicitation, PSCo is requesting proposals for approximately 13,700 MWh of annual solar electric energy to be generated from photovoltaic or concentrating photovoltaic technologies built on land, which PSCo has optioned, near PSCos Mosca Substation approximately 20 miles north of Alamosa, Colorado, along State Highway 17. PSCo prefers that responses to this RFP be operational by December 31, 2007.
