Proposals for Research Project on Nonprofit Sector Diversity
As part of their commitment to strengthen the capacity of minority-led nonprofit organizations in California, a ten-member coalition of private foundations are seeking proposals for a research project to assess the diversity of California's nonprofit sector.
The funders seek to fund rigorous, objective research to describe the population of minority-led organizations in the state, and have this information reported by relevant groupings. There is a tight timeline for this work, with analysis due in January 2009 to inform a grantmaking strategy, and a public report due two months later.
