Location: Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI


The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center has a requirement to upgrade 3 Air Handling Units (AHUs). Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items designated in this contract in accordance with the specifications and drawings to complete Project # 695-16-109: Upgrade V10, V11, V30 AHUs (MER 2) at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, 5000 West National Avenue Milwaukee, WI. The project includes removing dirt from the basement, installing foundation slabs for the new AHUs, installing 3 new AHUs, installing new ducting for the new AHUs, installing plumbing, electrical, and control services to the new AHUs, providing temporary HVAC to the Chapel and Auditorium, and decommissioning in place 2 old AHUs.
The project magnitude price range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a size standard of $15.0 Million.
The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of four hundred ninety-five (495) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer.
The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) is scheduled be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about May 7, 2019. The bid opening is approximately scheduled for June 6, 2019. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB or VOSB eligible under this subpart; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB/VOSB listed as verified in VIP database at:B https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
