PRESOLICITATION NOTICE
Install Kitchen Exhaust Hoods in Building 8 and Building 42
(Project #659-18-106)
VA Salisbury Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs, W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center Salisbury NC, 1601 Brenner Ave., Salisbury, North Carolina, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, incidentals and qualified supervision for Project 659-18-106 at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. This presolicitation notice is in relation to the requirement described under market research notice 36C24619Q0291, posted to FBO.gov in February 2019.

All work performed must meet all applicable codes and regulations and be in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications, to be provided with the solicitation, when/if released. The period of performance is 180 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP), for the entire project. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000 (see VAAR 836.204). The applicable NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a SBA size standard of $15.0 million annual revenue.

This requirement will be solicited under a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Prospective contractors must be registered in CVE VetBiz in order to be considered (see https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/). The solicitation, including specifications and drawings, will likely be available on or around Wednesday, March 6, 2019. The specifications, drawings and any amendments and notices, if any, will be posted on this website, www.fbo.gov. The due date for proposals will be not less than 30 days after issuance of the solicitation, with the actual timeframe to be disclosed at time of solicitation release. Location, time and date, and points of contact for the site visit will be identified in the solicitation.
