The Lexington VA Medical Center has a requirement for a contractor experienced in healthcare construction to provide construction services for Project # 596-16-101, Construction to Renovate Bldg. 28 for Specialty Care in accordance with the Statement of Work, Project Specifications and Drawings. The work includes general hospital construction, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, exterior improvements, utility systems and certain other items as provided in the Statement of Work, Specifications and Drawings.
The project work will take place in a medical environment and the proposed contractor shall take into consideration infection control, demolition noise, environmental dust control, and specialized facility requirements as necessary in working in a medical/hospital centered setting.
NAICS Code 236220 is applicable to this requirement. The Small Business size standard is $36.5M.
The estimate range of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00
This requirement will be procured by way of FAR Part 15, as a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process. The evaluation factors and sub-factors under consideration for this requirement will be available upon the solicitation release, which is anticipated to be on or by March 28, 2019.
This requirement is a 100% percent set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C B'8127 (d). Only those SDVOSB s listed and viewable in the Center for Verification & Evaluation (CVE) database located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. The CVE database will be checked at the time of offer submission as well as prior to award. All offers must also have an active listing in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The awarded contractor must also submit evidence of enrollment with VETS4212.
In addition to the requirements as set forth in the solicitation notice (to be issued), the proposed contractor must also be determined responsible in accordance with FAR Part 9. The Contracting Officer will determine responsibility prior to award any award being made.
