CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 640-20-904, PA - Bldg 7 Control Lab Air Replacement.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), has a requirement to: remove two (2) Quincy Control Air compressors, one (1) Nash Lab Air compressor, and one (1) Nash Lab vacuum system; and to install two (2) new Duplex Scroll Tank Mounted air compressors for Control Air, one (1) new Laboratory Scroll Air compressor unit, and one (1) new Laboratory Claw type Vacuum unit. The intent of this procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the removal/replacement/repairs. The Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided with the future solicitation, if any, and will define the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost.
Interested parties are strongly urged and expected to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the future solicitation.
Statement of Work, Specifications, and/or Drawings, if available, will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The solicitation will contain all necessary proposal instructions.
This project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $15M. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included.
In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project is projected to be:
Between $100,000 and $250,000.
It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in September 2019.

The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted.
