The Jesse Brown VA Medical Center has a requirement to replace the existing roofing and install a new roofing system in buildings 1, 11A, 15, 21, and 30. Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, labor, equipment, supplies, and qualified field supervision in accordance with the specifications and drawings to complete Project # 537-15-128B: Replace Failed Roofs at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612. This project will include demolition of existing roofing materials and accessories and installation of new roofing system including but not limited to membrane, insulation, copings, and accessories. Drawing and Specifications will be provided with solicitation.
The project magnitude price range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238160, Roofing Contractors, with a size standard of $16.5 Million.
The project is scheduled to have a period of performance (POP) of two-hundred forty (240) calendar days for the base bid after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. This project will have 4 alternate bid deduct options with various POPs. More information will be announced in the solicitation.
The solicitation (including any/all drawing and specifications) is scheduled be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about November 12, 2019. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for December 12, 2019. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
