Program Manager-New Transit Multi-Modal Facility
Blacksburg Transit, a department of the Town of Blacksburg, seeks the services of a qualified construction Program Manager.
Phase I: The Town has applied and received Federal Transportation Administration and Department of Rail and Public Transportation grants to conduct an Environmental Assessment (EA) and to determine the scope of the project which includes, but is not limited to, design and concept, pre-planning activities, and Architectural and Engineering (A&E) of the Multi-Modal Transit Center which will be located on Perry Street on Virginia Tech campus.
This agreement covers Phase I only.
It is our desire, however, to offer the same Program Manager a continuation of this agreement to handle Phase II of the project, which is the construction of the facility, once funding has been obtained.
Blacksburg Transit intends to negotiate a contract for the required services on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification for the services required at a fair and reasonable price.
