The Organization expects to procure consultant services for three (3) projects identified in its FY 2012 Program, including:
1. Coast Access Alternatives Study to identify, analyze, and compare all feasible methods to improve access to and from the Coast, especially during and following major weather events which, in the past, have resulted in the closure of Farrington Highway.
2. Planning Process Review to improve the continuous and comprehensive coordination between the Organization, its partner agencies, and other departments and agencies, as appropriate. Special attention will be paid to coordinating land use planning with transportation planning on Oahu, as well as coordinating between the Transportation Improvement Program and the capital improvement plans of utility companies.
3. Organization Website Update & Electronic Development to develop a robust, interactive, user-friendly website that informs and educates the public about the Organization, transportation planning issues, trade-offs and decision-making, and helps them visualize future projects and participate in the planning process.
