The goal of the CPTED assessment is to assist each of the schools in creating a warm and welcoming educational environment for students, staff, and visitors to the schools, while at the same time minimizing or decreasing the likelihood of vandalism or crime. The Matanuska-Susitna School District has received funding through a bond to assist them in improving campus security district wide. Additionally, these assessments will further assist the school district in maximizing new security equipment.
