Professional Housing Inspection Services for the County
The County's Division of Community Assistance is seeking the services of
professional consultants to provide residential home inspection services and detailed written reports on an asneeded
basis throughout Volusia County, Florida. Inspectors are to inspect readily accessible, visually
observable installed systems and components of the interior and exterior of a house which includes structure,
roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, insulation and ventilation, fire places and solid fuel
burning appliances. Property inspection categories may consist of single or multi-family residential units.
Reports shall address the systems and components that are not functioning properly, significantly deficient,
unsafe, or are near the end of their services lives. Inspectors shall make recommendations to correct or monitor
future correction of deficiencies reported or items requiring further evaluation, provide explanation as to the
nature of the deficiencies, and the reason the systems and components designated for inspection were not
inspected.
