Professional Contracting Services for Home Healthcare and Hospice Agencies

Contracting: Identify, negotiate and manage reimbursement contracts for all aspects of home care/hospice services in accordance with the policies and procedures of VNAHS and in compliance with all applicable laws, with all public and private third party insurers,
managed care organizations, third party administrators, and other purchasers of home care and hospice services.
Contract negotiation will be accomplished through the "messenger model" insuring all decisions on payments from third party payers are made through independent consultation/input from each agency separate and apart from all other agencies.
Administration: Act as point person for all contract inquiries related to contract negotiation, contract interpretation, and management. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Oversee all aspects of the operations of VNAHS. Attend and report out to the Board of Directors at bi-monthly meetings and other meetings as requested. (BOD meetings may be less frequent over time.) Maintain financial accounting for all VNAHS activities.
Additional Contracting: Perform duties as requested by the Board of Directors consistent with the purposes of VNAHS and the changes brought on by federal and state health care reform including but not limited to third party contracting with group purchasing organization(s), DME/IV therapy providers, and services such as flu vaccinations.
Customer Service: Work with individual agency(s) experiencing reimbursement issues. Act as resource for agency staff on all aspects of contract management and implementation.
