Procurement of operating room table pads for the operating room (OR) of the VA Maryland Health Care System (Surgical Care Clinical Center)

Overview:
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Maryland Health Care System operating room has two (2) OSI tables (used mainly for spine cases) and nine (9) Skytron operating room tables. These tables have various pads on them to support the patient during the surgical procedure. The current pads are aging (they are seven years old) and pose an infection control and patient safety risk (inability to provide the appropriate skin/tissue pressure management.
Purpose:
" To ensure operating room tables have the appropriate pad for patients to be safely and effectively positioned during surgical procedures. The pads are effective for appropriate pressure-management for larger patients and for long surgical procedures.
