Process and Manage Distribution of Refund Checks
The Contractor shall provide professional assistance to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) in processing and managing customer utility refunds. Each time a distribution of refunds is required, the PUCT will provide the contractor with the names, addresses and amount to be distributed. The amount to be distributed for each distribution is expected to be less than $500,000.00 and will consist of between 2,000 to 3,000 checks. Once the PUCT determines the distribution amounts, the PUCT will wire the funds to the contractor. The contractor will have 20 days from the date of the funds are received by the contractor to distribute the refund checks. The contractor shall also provide services related to returned checks and unclaimed funds associated with these distributions. The PUCT estimates 2-3 distributions will be needed in the contract period.
