Printing of License Plates

SCOPE AND BACKGROUND: The Office is seeking to establish a purchasing agreement with one company for the production and delivery of license plates with the current or future option of providing related registration products/services, on-demand inventory, and bar-coding inventory tracking.
Approximately 220,000 license plates are manufactured on an annual basis from aluminum substrate with applied reflective sheeting. There are approximately 71 different license plate types.
Vermont license plates are currently printed as debossed. The Department understands that Vermont is the only location in the United States that prints license plates by debossing and we will take bid proposals for debossed, embossed, and digital license plates.
