Preventive Maintenance for Fire Trucks
Statement of Work Fire Truck Preventive Maintenance
This SOW will encompass 71-03173 ( T 1500 ARFF), 71-03241 ( T 1500 ARFF) and 71-03165 (T 1500 ARFF), 73-03378 (Structural Pumper) and 73-03297 (Structural Pumper), 74-00114 (Structural Ladder) and 76-00027 (Incident Response Truck). The contractor will change oil, oil filters, fuel filters, service battery posts, check all hoses
and belts for proper function within the engine compartment in accordance with manufacturers specifications for each of the trucks under contract. Due to the low annual mileage, the PM's will be done once every 12 months in alternating schedule. In conjunction with teh PM's, all trucks witht he exception of the Incident Response Truck will also need the annual pump certifications performed and documented in accordance with (IAW) NFPA yearly pump test procedures.
If any other repairs are required, they will be made by PW's mechanic or other means deemed appropriate by higer authority. Contractor needs to be within a 10 mile radius of the base for emergency response situation.
