Prevention Services: Safe & Drug Free Schools and Communities Act
The Office of Substance Abuse ( OSA ) of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services is seeking proposals for the delivery of prevention services. This project is funded by the U.S. Education Department, Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools . It is designed to fund selective or indicated prevention strategies or programs to reduce substance use and/or violence in children and youth who are not normally served by State educational agencies or local education agencies; or populations that need special services or additional resources (such as youth in juvenile detention facilities, runaway or homeless children and youth, pregnant and parenting teenagers, and school dropouts).
