Combined Synopsis
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial Items for the purchase of Fresh Bread Products prepared in accordance with the format Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested as a Request for Quote. The intent is to award a firm fixed price. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-70(effective 30 Sept. 2013). This procurement is being solicited as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification Code is 811219 and Size Standard is 500 employees.
Request for Quotation number is VA248-13-R-3107. The Government intends to make a multiyear award. Line items should not be quoted separately. A firm fixed price award will be made based on the lowest total price line item.
Period of Performance: One (1) Base and 4th option Years
This procurement is for the UPS Liebert unit's maintenance for the Medical Center of the VA Caribbean Healthcare System. The Medical Center is located at 10 Casia St, San Juan PR 00921.

Anticipated award date: The contract is expected to be awarded on or before July 10, 2014.
This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. Quote must be good for thirty (30) calendar days after the close of this solicitation.
Offerors are advised that as per FAR 12.603, an SF 1449 is not used for a combined synopsis/solicitation. However, offeror responding offer to this solicitation can be submitted on an SF 1449, if it meets the form criteria as both simplified (FAR 53.213(f)) and commercial (FAR 12).
