Power Amplifier
This is a sources sought notice issued for the purpose of conducting market research. The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Shared Services Division, has a requirement to procure NSN 5895 01 504 8373, Power Amplifier, PA-2220A (PA-1KW), Part No. 270-2695-020, ten (10) each, with an option to purchase an additional ten (10) each up to forty (40) each from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Rockwell Collins, Inc. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 334220, and the Small Business Size standard is 750 employees.
It is the Government's belief that only Rockwell Collins, Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), possesses the OEM specifications, parts, technical data, standards, and drawings required to successfully manufacture these items. Therefore, it is the Government's intent to solicit only the OEM. The Coast Guard did not acquire this information, and it is our understanding, based on market research, that only the OEM has the proprietary data rights to the components and technical data required to manufacture these items to meet the Coast Guard's needs.
Any interested and capable sources should contact Ron Almond via email, [email protected], communicating their interest within fifteen (15) calendar days from the posting date of this notice. Interested sources shall provide data showing that they have successfully manufactured these items for the Government, or other commercial customers in the past, or that they have unlimited access to the OEM's parts, technical data, including specifications, and drawings. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this synopsis. Information received after this period will not be considered. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
