Please provide responses to the following concerning commercial practices:
How is preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance/repairs priced? (Fixed Price, Cost, Time & Materials, etc.) Please include examples of methods used, and any suggested Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structures which work well.
Can companies other than the manufacturer obtain appropriate replacement parts, and perform required maintenance/repair services? Please discuss lead-times for parts receipt or difficulties.
Is there a standard warranty period for repair services, if so what is it?
Is it recommended the customer maintain a spare parts inventory, or does the service company do this?
Some of our barriers have never been placed in service. What is a standard PM schedule for spare barriers with little or no use?
