Portable Fire Extinguisher Services Countywide
There shall be one (1) Annual Service of all portable fire extinguishers. Annual or recharge service shall include
all of the labor, materials and miscellaneous costs associated with servicing the portable fire extinguishers
including but not limited to recharging, refilling of dry chemicals only (up to one pound), weighing, replacement of
“O” rings, valve stems, gauges, pull pins, visual seals, discharge hoses, miscellaneous parts and materials not
identified, Fire Marshall tags, labor, shipping, delivery and placement of dry chemical fire extinguishers only.
Servicing shall be done on-site (Halon, halotron, and CO-2 gases excluded) with portable fire extinguishers
returned to the exact location from which it was removed; there shall be temporary portable fire extinguishers
suitable for the type of hazard being protected and of at least equal rating shall be put in place during servicing, if
removed from COUNTY’S property.
